Birth injuries solicitor and Court of Protection deputy Diane Rostron has appointed Alison Battersby as legal executive to assist the team’s clients following successful £multi-million settlements.
Commenting on the appointment, birth injuries specialist Diane Rostron said: “Alison is a very welcome addition to the team and her appointment will further enhance the long-term support provided to clients after we have secured sizeable medical negligence compensation.
“When a family has suffered a significant birth injury, their child’s needs are complex and lifelong. It is a long road for these families and the support needed doesn’t end when a hard-fought settlement has been won.
“Alison’s role is to support the team to safeguard and manage vulnerable clients’ settlements and assist with all aspects of the care required from instructing architects to build or adapt suitable accommodation, to running their finances and appointing the appropriate carers, therapists and other support workers.”
Qualifying in 2011, chartered legal executive, Alison Battersby commented: “Diane and her team have an enviable reputation both locally and nationally and I am delighted to join the team. Birth injuries have a profound impact on families and the challenges and difficulties that follow don’t end once a settlement has been won.
“I have always enjoyed supporting families through difficult circumstances and look forward to supporting clients to ensure that their complex needs are met, and exceeded, to ensure that they can live as full a life as possible and ease the strain on parents.”
Diane Rostron is recognised by the latest Legal 500 directory as one of the leading medical negligence solicitors in England and Wales.
